Sherando Lake National Recreation Area, located 12 miles south of Waynesboro, VA on Rt. 664, exit #96 off of I-64. Sherando Lake is located in the George Washington National Forest, swimming, sand beach, boat rentals, fishing, and hiking are available from the campsite. Ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, and the Shenandoah Valley. Ride maps available. Visit Monticello, UVA, Crabtree Falls, Goshen Pass, Natural Bridge, Museum of American Frontier Culture, Lexington, Charlottesville, and historic Staunton Virginia. Park Service locks the entrance gate from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM.
Rally fee includes: Tent camping, door prizes, coffee, lemonade, awards, evening meals both Friday and Saturday nights. Rally fees are $40 at the gate, $30 pre registration. $30 for seniors (60+) and children 10-16. Children age 9 and under are free. Saturday evening meals are not included for those children under nine years of age. Additional meal tickets, are $11 each, while they last. Pre registration guarantees you Saturday night dinner. Charity breakfast provided on site Saturday and Sunday mornings from the Bosom Buddies, a breast cancer survivor group from Waynesboro, Virginia. Donations for breakfast are accepted and appreciated. All donations go directly to Bosom Buddies.
